In Berlin two advertising columns, positioned in a direct line to each other, have been adorned with the cell phone tracking data of Ruben Aubrecht’s mobile phone. By following the positional data in the code, one can navigate to the respective other column. Movement profiles consist of a listing of location data recorded at continuous intervals. Longitude and latitude coordinates, along with the date and time of the phone, are stored in tiny text files. Using these individual points, the traveled route can be easily reconstructed as a line on a map.
